By 2022, as confirmed by the company’s managing director, Domenico De Rosa, Smet Logistics<\/a> will have a fleet entirely powered by liquid natural gas. This objective is in line with the sustainability policies that Smet has been pursuing in recent years in all areas of the company. The presentation of the new Iveco S-Way<\/strong>, in this sense, represents a further step in the company’s sustainability strategy. The new Iveco vehicle, clearly in the Natural Power version, will immediately become part of Smet’s fleet.<\/p>\n

Since 2019, Smet S-Way in the corporate fleet<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The new Smet S-Way<\/strong>, in fact, will start to circulate on European motorways as early as 2020. The company, which has always been a pioneer in the road haulage sector, will currently be the only one to receive the new vehicle. This is also thanks to our strategic partner Mecar<\/a>, which will allow the drivers of our company to show off the Smet S-Way<\/strong> from the new year.<\/p>\n

Smet S-Way<\/strong> will be presented in a new and fascinating livery, already shown in the past days through some renderings. The front, as well as the Smet logo, will be characterized by the large bumper in the characteristic red color that distinguishes the company. The big mask, symbol of the new Iveco S-Way<\/a>, will be flanked by two bands that will run up to the doors. A stylistic solution also taken from the upper bands, which start from the windscreen. Overall, the new Smet S-Way will have a refined style in line with the previous vehicles of the company fleet.<\/p>\n

\"Iveco<\/p>\n

Under the bonnet of the new S-Way, in the NP version, the innovative engine powered by liquid natural gas<\/a> from Iveco<\/a> will run. This will allow the company to continue its efforts to protect the environment by reducing the amount of pollutants released into the environment and reducing noise pollution. Thanks to the alternative power supply, in fact, it is possible to reduce particulate emissions by 99%, NO2 by 90% and CO2 by 95% compared to diesel.<\/p>\n

The new Iveco S-Way<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Iveco’s new heavy-duty vehicle, presented on July 2nd in Madrid by the CNH Industrial group, is the heir to the previous Iveco Stralis. A new vehicle with a completely new cabin, both inside and out. This ensures a better stay in the cabin for the drivers, who now have more space at their disposal, but also better performance, thanks to a 12% reduction in the penetration coefficient compared to the past. This also translates into a further reduction in pollutant emissions.
