As in the case of FIATA Agents, for which we acquired the status in September this year, IATA Agents also enjoy many advantages. The company, which from now on will have an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iata.org\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IATA<\/a> identification code, now has access to more than 250 airlines, already members of IATA, which use a standard Sales Agency Agreement. In addition, we will be authorized to sell domestic and international tickets on behalf of the airlines themselves. Obtaining status also ensures compliance with unified standards for all operations with airlines. \u00abAn extraordinary step forward in our journey towards a more and more world-wide internationalization\u00bb, commented Smet CEO Domenico De Rosa.<\/p>\n<h2>What is IATA?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>IATA<\/strong>, from the <strong>English International Air Transport Association<\/strong>, is an international airline organization founded on April 19, 1945 in Havana. Today, IATA is based in Montreal, Canada. The aim of the association is to &#8220;promote safe, regular and economical air transport for the benefit of humanity, promote air trade and study related problems&#8221;.
