The initiative focused on the development opportunities offered by the sea\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Domenico De Rosa, CEO of SMET<\/a>: “We bet on Motorways of the Sea, with the excellent intuition of the green corridors”.<\/p>\n

SMET, a transport and logistics company from Salerno, at the Port Authority of Civitavecchia to take part in the event “Economy of the sea for territorial and national development”, organised by the Union of Young Chartered Accountants at Molo Vespucci.<\/p>\n

The initiative – featuring speeches by experts in the sector – focused on the development opportunities offered by the sea. In particular, on the discussion table was the analysis of Mediterranean resources and the opportunities provided by the PNRR, without forgetting the value of fiscal measures and the examination of the sector’s reference regulations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim of the meeting is to relaunch the central role, for the Italian economy, of the port sector and the need for the development of nautical corridors.<\/p>\n

Among the protagonists of the event was Domenico De Rosa<\/a>, CEO of the SMET Group, who spoke about the importance of maritime resources in relation to the transport and logistics sector. In his speech, entitled ‘Links between infrastructure, logistics, transport, port activity, and territorial development’, De Rosa emphasised the crucial importance of the maritime economy for Italy.<\/p>\n

“My respectful thanks for the warm and affectionate welcome to my friend the President of the Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Tyrrhenian Sea (Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta) Dr. Pino Musolino, a manager with extraordinary talents, who has made the Civitavecchia port a virtuous example of efficiency for the Motorways of the Sea system,” De Rosa emphasised. “The sea is an immense natural resource, full of extraordinary opportunities that can only be seized with the best professionalism and skills available in our country.<\/p>\n

The manager went on to talk about the importance of the Italian peninsula’s position in the Mediterranean. “Italy has an enviable and decisive position in the Mediterranean with respect to all European countries,” he explained, “And that is why it is a winning idea to focus on the Motorways of the Sea, with the excellent intuition of the green corridors, made up of routes, but also ports and induced activities. The Motorways of the Sea can be the forerunner of the ecological turning point resulting from ship-road intermodality, but they are also a great economic and development opportunity in Italy for experimenting new technologies, promoting innovation, testing new regulations, and converging interesting measures on ports, logistics, and transport”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
