It will be the SMET Group that will carry the Granata heart on millions of kilometers of roads across all over Europe.

The company, founded in Salerno 76 years ago and now an Italian excellence in freight transport and integrated logistics, in fact dedicates to U.S. Salernitana 1919 the IVECO vehicle entirely branded with the team’s colors and logo.

The new IVECO vehicle will be officially delivered on Friday, August 4, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the SMET Group, at SPA Easyfuel in Via Cappello Vecchio in Salerno. The handover ceremony will be attended by Domenico De Rosa (CEO of SMET Group), Maurizio Milan (CEO of U.S. Salernitana 1919), Guido Grimaldi (Corporate Short Sea Shipping Director of Grimaldi Group and President of the ALIS Trade Association), Fabrizio Buffa (Medium & Heavy Business Line Manager of IVECO) and Sara Ferrajoli (CEO of MECAR).

In December 2022, Domenico De Rosa and Danilo Iervolino both received the Oscar of Innovation. The award was given by ANGI (National Association of Young Innovators), reflecting their achievements in their respective fields and the innovative drive that has enabled the SMET Group and U.S. Salernitana 1919 to emerge as entrepreneurial excellences of Southern Italy and position themselves in an international scenario while keeping intact the deep connection with the territory.
