IVECO and the Smet Group continue to lead the way for change with the renewal of the Salerno-based group’s fleet with 100 new 490 hp HVO-powered IVECO S-Way Fuel Hero tractors, which will be delivered later this year for use in transportation and logistics activities throughout the country.

The 100 490-hp IVECO S-Way Fuel Hero, model AS440S49T/P, are two-axle tractors equipped with a Cursor 13 eVGT engine and 12-speed Hi-Tronix transmission. The vehicles have been developed to achieve maximum fuel economy, i.e., up to 8 percent, thus becoming the ideal solution for long-haul sustainability. In addition, IVECO’s IVECO S-Way diesels are 100% compatible with HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) biofuel, which can be used in purity in all the latest diesel engines: this is a high-quality biofuel of plant origin and from waste for increasingly green transportation.

The supply was handled by the Mecar dealership, which, with more than 70 years of history, is now active with a network of more than 30 authorized workshops and 5 automated 4.0 spare parts warehouses.
