Iveco and Abarth, for a new competition vehicle
The history of Iveco and Abarth, in fact, has already crossed in the past. Since the eighties, in fact, the brand of the FCA group has been at the side of the Scorpione Team in sports competitions. A partnership that has been renewed in these days, since Iveco will provide Abarth with two new vehicles to support the logistics of the racing department of the style center. In particular, Abarth will receive a Stralis XP and a Eurocargo, which will support the team in the Abarth Selenia Trophy and the Abarth 124 Selenia Rally Trophy.
To celebrate this renewed partnership, Iveco has decided to produce a Limited Edition of its Iveco Stralis XP TCO2 Champions. This is a specific version of the New Stralis XP, designed specifically for long-lasting international transport. The Stralis XP TCO2 Champions, in fact, has been thoroughly designed to contain the total cost of operation (TCO) and CO2 emissions. Inspired in its livery by the new Fiat 124 Spider Abarth, the new Stralis Abarth will be available in 124 units, just to recall the historic spider of the FCA group.

The special Iveco Abarth livery
The first distinctive detail that stands out in the new Stralis Abarth is certainly the sports livery. The new Iveco Stralis from Scorpione’s home, in fact, is equipped with two special kits: Abarth Standard kit and Scorpione Pack. The first kit includes the special livery designed by the Abarth style centre. In particular, it is characterized by a white background, with red and grey finishes, the team’s historic colours. Alongside this strong racing connotation, the interior is enhanced by the steering wheel and custom mats and by a Limited Edition identification plate. The second kit, on the other hand, includes the leather upholstery of the driver’s and passenger’s seats with the Abarth logo.
Technical features of Stralis Abarth
Under the hood of Stralis Abarth roars the Iveco Cursor 11 engine with 480 hp power. The propulsion unit is then coupled to the Hi-Tronix gearbox, with an innovative traction system that, thanks to the GPS, also takes into account the height variations, so as to optimize fuel consumption. To improve fuel consumption and emissions, eco-compatible tyres have also been installed, which have low rolling resistance on asphalt. The Iveco Stralis Abarth engine is also equipped with systems to reduce harmful CO2 emissions.
